Indonesia, April 29, 2025 – The Indonesian Society of Engineering and Technology (ISET) in collaboration with the Indonesian Electrical Engineering and Informatics Research Association (ARTEII) successfully held the Conference & Call for Paper with the theme Use of AI in Engineering. The event, conducted online via Zoom, opened with speeches from Dr. Ir. Sri Poernomo Sari, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN Eng. (ISET, Indonesia) and Dr. Eng. Ir. Wahyu Amien Syafei, S.T., M.T., IPM. (Diponegoro University, Indonesia), both emphasizing the critical role of Artificial Intelligence in addressing modern engineering challenges.
As the keynote speaker, Dr. Nur Sultan Salahuddin, S.Kom., M.T. (Gunadarma University, Indonesia) delivered The Future of Engineering: Improving Innovation and Efficiency Through Artificial Intelligence. He highlighted how AI can accelerate innovation, improve efficiency, and strengthen technological resilience across various engineering sectors.
Dr. Dharmayanti (Gunadarma University, Indonesia) presented Smart Manufacturing & Industry 4.0, showcasing how AI integration can optimize production processes, increase precision, and enhance industrial sustainability.
Zahra Nabila Salahuddin Putri, S.Ars., A.B., M.A. (ISET, Indonesia) shared Elevating Architectural: How AI Enhances Visualization, demonstrating how AI-powered visualization tools transform architectural design by producing more realistic and interactive concepts.
Rana Sakha Salahuddin Putri, S.Ars., A.B., M.A. (ISET, Indonesia) followed with AI in Architecture: Designing the Future, focusing on AI’s role in creating adaptive, functional, and aesthetically driven building designs.
Dr. T. Aditya Sai Srinivas (Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering, India) discussed From Reactive to Proactive – How AI Prevents Failures and Boosts Efficiency, explaining the proactive capabilities of AI in preventing technical failures and optimizing operations.
Dr. Sheik Mohamed, S.H., Ph.D., M.Phil. (St. Thomas College of Arts and Science, Chennai, India) concluded with AI in Visual Communication Education, emphasizing AI’s transformative impact on visual communication learning methods, enabling more creative and effective teaching.
The event was moderated by RR. Putri Ana Nurani, S.S., M.M., C.Ed., C.Med. (Universitas PGRI Madiun, Indonesia) and hosted by Dr. Intan Kusumawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. (Universitas Cokroaminoto Yogyakarta, Indonesia). The conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and fostering future collaborations in AI-driven engineering research.
